The Nilson Foundation helps furnish homes for families and individuals in need. To do that we collect some information from donors, from people asking for help, and from our staff and partners. This page explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it.

What we collect

How we use it

Only to run the Foundation's work: arranging pickups and deliveries, matching donated items with people who need them, contacting you about your donation or request, and keeping records of what we receive and give out. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who can see it

Foundation staff and volunteers who need it to do their job. When we deliver to a household referred by a partner organization, that partner can see the details of that request. We also use a few trusted service providers to run the site, such as our web host and our email provider (Google Workspace). They handle your information only on our behalf. We share information with others only if the law requires it.

Cookies

The public site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The portal uses one cookie to keep staff and partners signed in.

Keeping it safe

Your information is stored on secured servers, sent over encrypted connections, and only signed-in staff can reach it.

Your choices

You can ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Some records may need to be kept, for example a record of a donation we received. To ask, contact us below.
